TorontoAI: An Evening of AI Security, Multi-Agent Systems & Community Connections
On September 17, 2025, TorontoAI hosted an exciting evening of AI insights, live demos, and networking at the ShyftLabs office in downtown Toronto. The event brought together researchers, engineers, founders, and enthusiasts to explore some of the most important and fast-moving topics in artificial intelligence.
🍕 With pizza, pops, and plenty of energy in the room, the event was packed with conversation, collaboration, and cutting-edge ideas.
AI Security with Siyavash Nia

The evening kicked off with a deep dive into AI security. Siyavash highlighted the challenges of securing modern AI systems against risks like data integrity breaches, adversarial inputs, and model vulnerabilities. His talk struck a balance between caution and opportunity—showing how AI itself can be used to strengthen threat detection and defense.

Multi-Agent Systems with Eze Lanza

Next up, Ezequiel (Eze) Lanza took us into the world of multi-agentic systems powered by Vision-Language Models (VLMs). From frameworks like beeai, ACP, and A2A to hands-on demos of multimodal optimization with Hugging Face, Eze showcased the practical ways text and vision models can work together to unlock new workflows. The live demo was a crowd favorite—sparking questions, debates, and plenty of excitement.
