As the former AI Director at Reuters, Yulia led the Applied Innovation Lab, driving the design and deployment of cutting-edge AI/ML solutions that enhance content analysis, accessibility, and fairness in media and news. Her expertise spans deep learning, computer vision, multilingual speech transcription, and automation for video processing, with a strong record of managing teams to deliver impactful, high-value AI projects. With dual PhDs in Scientific Computing from the University of Jyväskylä and in Discrete Mathematics and Cybernetics from St. Petersburg State University, Yulia combines robust technical knowledge with strategic vision.
